Information from Adelaide
On August 8 afternoon I
phoned to DIMA Adelaide Skilled Processing Center to inquiry my immigratin
application status. The inquiry hot line No. is 08- 8237 6614 or 0061-8-8237
6614 if you call from China. Now I disclose the information got from DIMA
Adelaide to All Chinese applicants:
IN SUMMARY from my
conversation with the DIMA Adelaide official, I confirmed two news: The good one
is The NORMAL processing time for immigration will be 8-12 weeks;
The bad one is the current
case piled in Adelaide have to wait. It takes time for DIMA Adelaide office on
the right track to process.
1. For the transferred cases
from DIMA Beijing Embassy:
The official said it NORMALLY
takes 8 to 12 WEEKS to finalise the processing. DEFINITELY majority of
transferred case from Beijing will be finished by the END OF OCTOBER. They have
been working hard all the time.They will notify in writing every applicant the
result or request additional documents. if you have not been receive any replies
from DIMA Adelaide office at that time, you should contact with Adelaide. Now
you should be patient and wait.
The official also told me
that the reason that DIMA establish the Adelaide immigration center is to
accelerate the immigration process. IN NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCE it need 8-12 weeks to
finalize a immigration case.
2. For the cases lodged with
Australia, namely applied as 880/881/882:
NORMALLY it takes 8 weeks to
finalise the processing. They will also notify in writing every applicant the
result or request additional documents.
3. For the case lodged before
July 1, 1999, namley old case:
This is a priority for DIMA
Adelaide. Most of this batch of cases are now under the way.
4. For the applicant of ICT
who passed through ACS accredtion:
This is another priority for
DIMA Adelaide.
5. For any concerns or
worries or inquires:
DIMA Adelaide STRONGLY
recommend that applicants should not inquire the case status at this point
because the inquires will prevent them from hanling the huge amounts of case
piled in Adelaide, defer the processing time, not to accelearte the processing.
