电脑工程师的审核
电脑工程师的审核，在澳大利亚是需要经过澳大利亚电脑学会的，他们审核的方法很精密，是根据申请人不同的学历、不同的经验去处理。简单来讲，包括下面五个不同的种类：
（一）澳大利亚、英国、新西兰、香港、新加坡及南非电脑学会的正规会员可以不需要工作经验。
（二）GRADUATE DIPLOMA 的申请人，如果他的课程包括 80% 认可的电脑科目，需要一年的认可工作经验。如果他的课程包括 50%-80% 的认可电脑科目，将需要两年认可的工作经验。
（三）本科生又再分为下面四类：
- (A) 电脑本科毕业需要一年认可工作经验；
- (B) 本科课程超过 30% 认可的电脑科目，需要一年认可的工作经验；
- (C) 本科课程包括 20%-30% 认可的电脑科目,需两年认可的工作经验；
- (D) 本科课程包括 15%-20% 认可的电脑科目,需三年认可的工作经验。
（四）三年大专毕业生，分为下面两类：
- (A) 大专课程超过 30% 认可的电脑科目，需要两年认可的工作经验；
- (B) 大专课程在 20%-30% 认可的电脑科目，需要三年认可的工作经验。
（五）两年大专毕业生，课程超过 50% 认可的电脑科目，需要三年认可的工作经验。
我们在上面讲的都是“认可的电脑科目”及“认可的工作经验”。“认可的电脑科目”包括:
- (A) Algorithms and Data Structures
- (B) Programming Languages
- (C) Hardware/Software Architecture
- (D) Communications/Operations Architecture
- (E) Software Systems
- (F) Software Methodologies and Engineering
- (G) Human/Computer Interface
- (H) Data Modelling
- (I) Systems Analysis and Design
- (J) Database Design and Management
- (K) Cmputing
- (L) Interpersonal Communications
- (M) Priciples of Artificial Intelligence
- (N) Discrete Mathematics
- (O) Computer Project Management
- 下面选修的课程是澳洲电脑学会认为是“认可的课程”：
- (A) Computer Science
- (B) Information Systems
- (C) Electronics Engineering
- (D) Computer Systems Engineering
- (E) Data Communication and Networks
- (F) Program Design and Implementation
另外比较重要的就是“认可工作经验”的定义，有关这一点，澳洲电脑学会是这样解释的：
- (A) Writing programs for substantial information processing systems in assembler language, and procedure orientated languages
- (B) Writing systems programs which form part of the operating system of the computer, providing utility services or managing data communications between computing devices
- (C) Providing expert technical advice and support to other programmers
- (D) Writing programs for highly technical and scientific applications
- (E) Analysing requirements for substantial systems of the type listed above
- (F) Design and specification of substantial systems
- (G) Assessing tenders for large scale computer equipment and computer-based systems, selecting the supplier and managing the introduction of the system
- (H) The design, construction and operation and maintenance of computer and communications systems
- (I) The design, installation and operation of extensive data communication networks linking computer systems and digital devices
- (J) Writing microcode programs
- (K) Writing programs in assembler or higher level languages for implementing basic machine functions, controlling communications equipment etc
- (L) Writing systems programs which form part of the operating system of the computer, providing utility services or managing data communications between computing devices
下面的工作他们认为是“不认可的工作经验”：
- (A) Operating computers;
- (B) Using Computers with application software written by others
- (C) Keying data into computers
- (D) Supervising or managing a data processing activity eg a small computer running application software provided by the manufacturer
- (E) Systems analysis and selection of a packaged system for a well defined task eg selecting and installing computer systems for a small retailer
- (F) Computer and software sales
- (G) Maintaining personal computers on a circuit board replacement basis
- (H) Acting as the interface between professional LAN/WAN managers and users, which may include low level maintenance and support
电脑学会审核通过后，使馆也要求申请人 IELTS 平均分不少于5.0.
